The Game, real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor, is a rapper, record producer, actor an entrepreneur from the United States. This artist, best known in the West Coast hip hop scene, rose to prominence in 2005 with his studio album Documentary, which cold more than 5 million copies over the world and received 2x Platinum certification from the Recording Industries Music Association of America. Jayceon was born in 1979 in Los Angeles. The neighborhood where the boy was raised was extremely poor and dangerous, controlled by various criminal gangs, most notably- Crips. Born into such environment Game also became involved into street life and gang-wars. He became a member of the Bloods, primarily African American street gang known for its long lasting rivalry with the Crips. After spending three days in a coma Game realized he cannot continue with this lifestyle and decided to pursue career on hip hop stage.
After the Game recovered, he and his older brother Big Face recorded a mixtape together, entitled Know What it Is Vol. 1. This tape has earned Game his first recording agreement with Get Low Records. Following this deal Game received a much more attractive offer. He was contacted by hip-hop legend Dr. Dre and signed to his own label Aftermath Entertainment.
